Minecraft Dungeons II: rifts

Mojang’s gameplay trailer and Minecraft LIVE recap describe rifts opening in the Dungeons II world. Stepping through one can take players into the Sift. The cited announcement does not provide a craftable portal recipe for this game.

Mielon’s Java mod: sound puzzle

The author describes an Ancient City portal awakened by a Singer. Play a Goat Horn near the frame, place Note Blocks on Sonorous Deepslate, then play the eight-note melody 1–3–7–6–5–2–4–8. Our portal tool rehearses this mod-specific sequence.

Wellspring: Warden key

Wellspring’s author describes defeating a Warden for a key, clearing vines from the central Ancient City portal and using the key on Reinforced Deepslate. The author calls this an early alpha method that may change. It does not work as a substitute for Mielon’s sequence.

MoonBear’s Java mod: ruined portals

MoonBear_Modding says the mod adds ruined Sift portals scattered around the world that players can repair and light. The author page does not specify the repair blocks or lighting item, so we cannot provide a step-by-step recipe.

Community Bedrock add-on: Ancient City portal

The creator’s guide says to clear the Ancient City reinforced-deepslate frame, place fire with flint and steel on the bottom of the opening, and walk through once the portal fills. It also lists /the_sift:travel as a command route. Both Behavior Pack and Resource Pack are required. These are beta add-on steps, not a vanilla Bedrock recipe.

Future vanilla Java and Bedrock

Mojang announced the Sift for Java and Bedrock in 2027 but did not confirm how players will enter it. Treat claims of a required item, song or portal frame as speculation until a first-party preview or release confirms them.
