Mojang announced a 2027 plan for both editions at Minecraft LIVE. No exact release date or Sift snapshot is confirmed in the checked official sources. This section changes only after a new official announcement is verified.

Minecraft Dungeons II

Minecraft Dungeons II is scheduled to launch on September 29, 2026. Availability may vary by platform and region. The checked first-party game pages still offer pre-orders, so current play availability is unverified. Its Sift rifts belong to this separate game.

September 2026 — Java and Bedrock plan

The Minecraft LIVE recap announced that the Sift would come to Minecraft Java and Bedrock in 2027. The official announcement does not provide an exact date or a full feature list.

August 2026 — Dungeons II reveal

Mojang’s Dungeons II gameplay trailer introduced the Sift as a new dimension entered through rifts. The company separately announced a September 29 launch date for Dungeons II.
