Three evidence levels
Official Minecraft: announcements and game pages published by Mojang. Mod author: creator-controlled project pages, files, changelogs and galleries on Modrinth or CurseForge; author or team GitHub releases, websites, docs and wikis; and attributable announcements, version notes or FAQs in an official team Discord. Unverified community information: leads that do not become facts until an authentic primary source confirms them.
When primary sources disagree
Prefer the most recent author information for the specific version. Keep the exact source URL and last verified date with the claim. If ownership, version scope or the conflict cannot be resolved, label the detail uncertain and avoid guessing. A mod does not need a Modrinth page to be covered.
Metadata and editorial separation
The automated Modrinth sync copies technical release metadata into a local JSON snapshot; it is not a ranking of source truth. New biome, mob, portal or balance statements from any author channel require a person to verify and edit the relevant guide. Download counts may change without a content rewrite.
Image provenance
The current game screenshots come from Mielon’s Modrinth gallery. Their creator, source URL, retrieval date and replacement status are recorded in a local image manifest. Screenshots are always labeled as community mod images.
Corrections
We display the last verified date on substantive pages. Send a primary-source link and affected URL to [email protected] for review. A date does not imply that we independently tested every gameplay detail.
