Mojang introduced the Sift as a new dimension reached through rifts in Minecraft Dungeons II. At Minecraft LIVE in September 2026, it also announced plans to bring the dimension to Minecraft Java and Bedrock in 2027. The official Java and Bedrock feature set has not been fully detailed.
This guide keeps those official plans separate from fan projects. A portal sequence, Siftite gear, or a Singer encounter described here may belong to a specific mod rather than future vanilla Minecraft.
Can you enter it now?
Minecraft Dungeons II is scheduled to launch on September 29, 2026. Availability may vary by platform and region. The checked first-party game pages still offer pre-orders, so current play availability is unverified. On Java Edition, Mielon’s The Sift already has author-published releases for four Minecraft and loader combinations. Bedrock does not use those Java .jar files.
